The Pidge Inn Terms and Conditions

Below are our Hotel Conduct and Cancellation Policies.  Our Amenities are listed at the bottom of this page.

POLICIES:

Hotel Conduct / No Party / No Loud Noises / No Smoking Policy:  The comfort and well-being of our guests is our #1 priority at The Pidge Inn.  Because of this, we have a strict, no exceptions “Hotel Conduct / No Party / No Noise / No Smoking Policy”.

  1. Parents/Chaperones are AT ALL TIMES responsible for their children/group members.
  2. This is a SMOKE-FREE hotel, a $250 room recovery fee will be charged for smoking/vaping in a guest room including the patio or balcony.  You must be 25 feet from any hotel entrance to smoke/vape.
  3. Maximum number of guests allowed at anytime in a suite 6 & 9 is (6), lofts 2, 3, 4 is (4), and rooms 1, 5, 7 & 8 is (2).  If the occupancy numbers are exceeded, there will be a fee of $50 per person and individual(s) may be asked to leave.
  4. NO PARTIES are allowed in the guest rooms at any time.  More than the allowed occupancy in a room is defined as a party.  Authorities will be called and occupants will be evicted from the hotel.  Criminal charges could be applicable.
  5. Pool parties are not permitted at any time.
  6. Loud noise, loud music, loud voices, horseplay, high traffic in/out rooms, and loitering are not permitted and can result in immediate eviction with no refund.
  7. All noise complaints which result in compensation to guests disturbed will be charged to the guest room whose noise caused the complaint.
  8. While we attempt to give one warning before eviction and/or calling the police, this policy may be enforced without warning, in order to protect other guests.
  9. Any guests found tampering with the hotel fire / emergency system will be subject to a $1000 fine.
  10. All money, deposits and rents will be forfeited upon eviction.
  11. No loitering in the parking lot.

 

No Pets Policy

No Breakfast Served:  Make plans for breakfast before you arrive.  Meijer is on the way into town to bring breakfast with you.  Breakfast restaurants are around 10 minutes away.

Security cameras are used and monitored in all common areas of the hotel, inside and out, for our guests' comfort.

Payment: VISA, MasterCard and Discover are accepted.

Rates: Price is based on quoted room occupancy.

Minimum Nights: Minimum number of night stays may be required.

Taxes: All rooms subject to a 6% State Use Tax and 5% Accomodations County Tax.

Deposits:  A $20 nonrefundable deposit is required when.reserving a room.

Remaining balance:  The remaining balance will be charge sometime around you stay.

Agree to Pay:  When booking a room, you agree to pay the entire amount shown in the check out process.

 

Cancellation / Shortening Reservation Policies:  Please note that we are a small hotel and cancellations/shortening reservations causing unfilled rooms affects us greatly.  With the Cancellation Policy and Shortening Reservation Policy, we are trying to be fair to our guests while making sure our hotel is sustainable. Thank you for your understanding and we appreciate you staying with us.

 

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations will be charged a $20 nonrefundable processing fee.
Short Term Stay Cancellation (1-2 days)
  If the cancellation is made within:
  5-7 days of your arrival, the cancellation fee is 25% of the entire amount of the reservation
  3-4 days of your arrival, the cancellation fee is 50% of the entire amount of the reservation 
  2 days or less of your arrival, the cancellation fee is 100% of the entire amount of the reservation.
Mid Term Stay Cancellation (3-4 days)
  If the cancellation is made within:
  11-14 days of your arrival, the cancellation fee is 25% of the entire amount of the reservation
  8-10 days of your arrival, the cancellation fee is 50% of the entire amount of the reservation 
  7 days or less of your arrival, the cancellation fee is 100% of the entire amount of the reservation.
Long Term Stay Cancellation (5-14 days)
  If the cancellation is made within:
  21-28 days of your arrival, the cancellation fee is 25% of the entire amount of the reservation
  14-20 days of your arrival, the cancellation fee is 50% of the entire amount of the reservation 
  13 days or less of your arrival, the cancellation fee is 100% of the entire amount of the reservation.
 

Shortening Reservation Policy

This policy is for reservations that are shortened after the initial reservation is made.
Short Term Stay (original reservation of 2 days)
  If the shortening of the reservation is made within:
  5-7 days of your arrival, the shortening fee is 25% of the amount of the days the reservation is shortened
  3-4 days of your arrival, the shortening fee is 50% of the amount of the days the reservation is shortened
  2 days or less of your arrival, the shortening fee is 100% of the amount of the days the reservation is shortened.
Mid Term Stay (original reservation of 3-4 days)
  If the shortening of the reservation is made within:
  11-14 days of your arrival, the shortening fee is 25% of the amount of the days the reservation is shortened
  8-10 days of your arrival, the shortening fee is 50% of the amount of the days the reservation is shortened
  7 days or less of your arrival, the shortening fee is 100% of the amount of the days the reservation is shortened.
Long Term Stay (original reservation of 5-14 days)
  If the shortening is made within:
  21-28 days of your arrival, the shortening fee is 25% of the amount of the days the reservation is shortened.
  14-20 days of your arrival, the shortening fee is 50% of the amount of the days the reservation is shortened.
  13 days or less of your arrival, the shortening fee is 100% of the amount of the days the reservation is shortened.

 

AMENITIES

Most of our rooms have either full kitchens or executive kitchenettes with cooktops.  We do not serve breakfast.  May we suggest a stop at Meijer or Aldi on your way into town. 

If you plan on walking to and enjoying the beaches, remember to drink lots of water and bring beach towels and sunscreen over the summer, and ear warmers in the winter! 

Ship Ladders: Our Loft rooms and Suite rooms have lofts with twin XL beds that are accessible only by ship ladders.  These ladders have railings but do not have gates at the top.  Your kids will love them, and so will adults!  Although, due to the ladder’s pitch, these lofts are not suitable for the very young, elderly, or anyone with acutely poor balance.  These rooms are equipped with king beds on the main floor for the comfort and safety of these guests.

Overnight Boat Parking: Overnight boat parking for one 22 ft or less boat.  Call for more information and availability.

Grills: Our grills are available year-round. Please use the BLUE grills near the parking lot and/or on the patio downstairs. They are not available during quiet hours.

Firepit: October through April by request only from 6-9pm – These are considered “smokeless” firepits. Only use dry wood…no charcoal. Please ask for instructions when starting the pit due to the sensitivity of the device. Take the blue lanyard in your room with you. Follow the signs to exit the building from downstairs through the laundry area on the east side of the building. Use your lanyard to reenter the building.

Outdoor Pool and Hot Tub: Memorial Day weekend through mid-September (and longer, weather permitting). Check out blog in early September for the actual closing date. Use the blue lanyard badges to enter the pool area and to reenter the hotel by the pool. The pool is down the stairs near laundry on the east side of the building and is open 9am to 10pm.

Rainy Day Games – May through mid-October: Board games will be available in the lobby on rainy days for your enjoyment.

Bikes – May through October: The bikes are available on a first-come basis. Please return them to the lobby when you are finished.

Yoga Pack – All-year: A “yoga pack” is located in the laundry area. Please feel free to bring it to your room to use. When finished, please set it on the white table in the laundry room so we can disinfect it before the next guest’s use. Thank you.

Sleds/Snurfers/Snowshoes – Weather Permitting:  The sleds, snurfers, and shoes are here to use on a first-come basis. Please return them to the lobby when finished. The nearest sledding hills are at Beachwood Park, 3157 Dune St, 1.9 miles, 5 minutes from the hotel. Please remember to bring them back with you.

Lawn/Patio Games-- Summer and Fall: Cornhole, 4-In-A-Row, Tumbling Towers and Ladderball are available downstairs close to the marina, weather permitting. - ICEFISHING SINK – Give us a call and we can help you find a place to clean your fish. Utensils not provided. We ask that you clean up the debris when finished. We ask that the fish are cooked on the grill as the smell is hard to remove when cooked in the hotel. Thank you

FAQs

What is "Hidden Service"?  The Pidge Inn operates with a hands-off approach to luxury hospitality.  A unique code will be sent to you in a text message prior to your arrival.  Use this code to enter the hotel and enter your room.  Please text us when you arrive.  This eliminates the need to check-in at a front desk.  Our team is on-site every night and most of the time during the day.  We want you to have a great experience.  We are only a phone call or text away if assistance is needed.  You will see us around the property as well.

How do I know which room I am staying in?  Please see the top of this email.  The room name and number will be included.

Where do I locate the iron and ironing board?  They are located in the laundry room on the east end of the building.  You are welcome to take them back to your room and return when you are finished.  You can give us a call and we will bring them to you as well.

Do you have more hangers and/or a larger hanging rack?  We have extra hangers upon request.  We have two larger hanging racks in the laundry area at the east end of the building.

How early can I arrive and how late can I check out?  Check-in time is no earlier than 4pm and check out is no later than noon the day of your departure.  Please note that the room and building access code will not be activated until 4pm the day of your arrival and will be deactivated at noon on the day of your departure.

Is parking included in my stay?  Yes, free parking for you is included in your stay.  Ask about boat parking.

Do you offer WiFi?  WiFi is complimentary and the login information is in your room.

Do you offer housekeeping?  Yes, we do.  Please see the information in your room on how to request housekeeping, towels, etc.

DIRECTIONS:  Please use mapping software since directions maybe be different depending on the season and construction.  Do not choose to "avoid construction" on your mapping software as you get close to Muskegon.  This will take you to the north side of Muskegon Lake and expect you to swim over.  Address:  3425 Fulton Ave., Muskegon MI  49441   Follow the signs to the Submarine Museum.  We are the blue building right past the museum on the right.
